Mash + Crosses: Sewing

I am very excited as I have just brought my first sewing machine! I was wondering around Newtown, which I have been doing a lot lately due to my unemployedness... not that I'm complaining! I'm enjoying sleeping in and I feel i have more time to be creative and update my Blog! anyway... as I said I was wondering around Newtown and going in and out of all the art shops, initially to find a frame but ended up trawling though the vast amount of different patterned papers, stickers, feathers, beads, ribbons... I got totally sucked in and my head was whirring with ideas of all the things I could do and create with these beautiful items. I managed to tear myself away and wondered into my favorite magazine shop, Mag Nation, where I picked up a copy of Uppercase, flicking through the pages and falling in love with an article on Sian Keegan's hand crafted stuffed animals, right then It came to me, I want to start sewing again! Seeing these ridiculously cute dogs I felt an urge to make things this wonderful. So I rushed home brought a mini sewing machine off oo.com.au and am awaiting the arrival! I look forward to posting my next Blog with pictures of my creations!
